IC Information

Character name: Roxas
Character canon: Kingdom Hearts
Canon point: Post-DDD (post-SCP R2)
Physical Description: Roxas is a rather petite blond, standing at 5'2, with spiky hair that can be spotted a mile away, and blue eyes that look like the color of an ocean. He is normally seen with an expression that is known as "resting pout face" when he's not particularly engaged in anything, and has dark eyebrows. He usually wears a black leather coat with a hood, matching black leather pants, boots, and gloves or a complex-looking casual wear.

About the Character: Canon history is here

Early memories for Roxas' time in the Foundation specifically can be found here.

A basic timeline for his time in The Resort can be found here.

Canon Personality

Roxas is the type of person who can be not only headstrong, but also stubborn - once he's settled on doing something, it can be difficult to change his mind (such as even Axel being unable to convince him not to leave the Organization.) On one hand, this may be considered a good quality as this means he's capable of being decisive and being independent on his own instead of simply relying on others. However, this can tie into it being rather easy for the blond to be reckless, at the sacrifice of his own personal safety, as when he left the Organization he had no plan but assumed that somehow he'd meet up with Xion, and it'd work out fine (spoilers: it didn't.)

He can also be pretty hotheaded and when he doesn't like the way things are going, he doesn't have any issues with getting loud as well as aggressive about it if he feels that he needs to. This doesn't just extend to being combative enough to enter an argument, but also physically giving into a sort of rage (such as when he let loose on DiZ's computer in Digital Twilight Town.) This can also be a problem because when Roxas has reached this point, it becomes difficult for the blond to listen to what the other party is saying and see their point of view, which can amount to viewing when he gets like this not at all dissimilar to when a child is pouting or having a tantrum. On one hand, being blunt can work well for him as he doesn't beat around the bush, however some might view this quality as rude rather than one indicative of his tendency towards honesty.

Roxas has a great deal of confidence in his abilities, to the point of arrogance, even if he does have the skill to back it up. It also extends to his general attitude, which helps keep the blond from wavering when he's decided on a course of action, right or wrong, selfish or unselfish. However, his cockiness can be his undoing at times and can cause him to let down his guard at the wrong times (such as being unprepared to react in time to Riku's last desperation move at the end of Days due to it.)

On the flipside, Roxas has the tendency to be thoughtful, to the point where he's rather introspective and quiet in his new surroundings (such as when he was new to the Organization.) This can be seen as a bonus because he's not the type to really leap to conclusions and he's able to make deductions that allow him to avoid being simply tricked or catch onto things even others wouldn't (such as, for example, that the Organization wasn't genuine in their motivations.) However, this can also serve as something of a downside, as his predilection to introspection can cause him to feel isolated as he may overthink things and cause him to feel upset if he doesn't have all the answers (see: his confliction over his existence and the Organization's goals.)

What's most important to Roxas are his friends, which is something conveyed whether it's from his friendship with Xion and Axel or with his friends he later makes in Twilight Town, digital version or not. Around his friends or people he gets to know/wants to get to know, Roxas isn't above being friendly or trying to extend his hand in doing so (see: him reaching out to Xion to see if he can get her to open up and such.) He's also willing to go far for the sakes of his friends, and definitely the type of person who gets protective over anyone he considers important to him.

Deviations

Roxas as a whole retains most of his original personality from his series. But thanks to his experiences in the Foundation as an Agent, and his time as forcibly participating in a life or death in the murdergame "The Resort" (Round 2 of the SCP murdergame series), the blond ends up having a few differences.

First of all is that the blond is very unlikely to trust many people straight off the bat because he's seen people front and send others on terrible missions if their rank was high enough -- all the while when he was a D-ranked Agent. He won't make it clear that he distrusts someone in an obvious manner, but it'll take awhile to coax personal information out of him unless he thinks there is a very good reason to reveal something--whether it is to get more information or because someone has made it clear that they're okay to trust. Part of this also has somewhat to do with DiZ's and Xemnas' actions canon-wise as well, and the blond is more liable to distrust older adults (those who look 30+ of age) than people around his age.

Roxas is more inclined to quite obviously view his friends and loved ones as the priority. He'll feel bad for it later on, but the blond has become the type not hesitate to make sure those he considers important to him are safe over those who aren't. In the Fifth Week's rapid-fire trial and execution where eight people were forced to be voted out, Roxas made a split second decision with choosing those he'd prefer to lose as opposed to people he'd rather not. He objected painfully to those he wished would live, because to him losing an important person close to him is the worst. He's also ready to get violent and do whatever it takes to protect them.

There's a degree of buried bitterness and vengeful lying in him, as the wrongs exacted upon him and his beloved ones by the Foundation are numerous (including the loss of life of an important person), and they've faced no repercussions for it. Then the fact that he was forced into a game of life or death and then it ended without many consequences for those who initiated it has made him bitter. He hides it well, but in some private conversations, he's not made it a secret, and now when the blond feels inclined to say something spiteful. Well, let's just say he doesn't hold back (such as saying straight to Makoto's face Akira should've lived rather than her if they were talking about who was more "useful".)

Roxas has become able to weather through difficult situations, gaining more determination he had than before he landed himself in the Foundation. Now whenever something goes particularly bad, the blond will be able to keep himself going, even if he's feeling down and like he's ready to give up. Part of it might have to do with spite being a motivator, but the other part is definitely going to be through a sheer amount of inner will. It can be a boon on hand, but on the other, it's a quality that can him to repress some of his emotions and the things he's experienced until it's too much for him to handle, causing a breakdown.

He's also learned how to read people more, due to his time spent with people like Vanitas, Akira, and Rean as he's noticed they tended to try to hide things. And it was borne out of wanting to be there to help those he cared about more. It's additionally made the blond on a whole more observant, even if he's liable to still miss some things, but generally he'll be watching a person very closely if he's just met them.

Character abilities:

Basic above-average reflexes in battle, and speed, easily outpacing an average human in terms of not only being able to outrun them, leaving behind after images whenever he utilizes quick dashes. His agility is such that he's also able to run alongside a building with little to no effort in little regard to gravity, and he definitely knows how to handle himself in combat.

Dual Keyblade Wielding:

Involves first and foremost, the power to summon not just a Keyblade, but dual-keyblades, which no one else but Sora seem to be capable of in-series. Self-explanatory in that he's able to manifest key-shaped weapons from outta nowhere, specifically OathKeeper and Oblivion. He'd normally be able to use it to banish creatures of darkness, open locked doors, locked things/items with a beam of light.

Dark Corridors: Able to summon corridors of darkness in order to teleport himself to far places, such as off-world, across city or town.

Limited teleporation: In addition to the corridors of darkness, he's able to teleport himself a few feet away or to a person, but not any farther than that without the usage of the above.

Hovering/Gliding: Not exactly able to fly wherever he pleases, but after propelling himself into the air, Roxas is able to hover or glide across the air along the same height he lept into the air at or glide downwards to the ground.

Light: As a Keyblade Wielder with a favorable disposition towards light, Roxas is able to utilize light-based attacks, including special ones. One of them is called Event Horizon, which allows him to encase the Keyblade in light as he's attacking his opponent to increase the amount of force behind each swing, before summoning pillars of light to land upon the target as the finisher. Then there's Magic Hour, which has him jump into the air and summon 12 or 13 pillars of light quickly all around him, and during this he is also shielded by a cloak of light until the attack's completion.

He's also able to bring forth thirteen shields from light to surround the area around him, and then let loose spheres of light by spinning both Keyblades towards his opponent.

Magic:

Roxas can cast a variety of spells. There's the primary ones [fire, thunder, aero (wind), and blizzard.] and auxiliary spells such as cures, and ones that do status effects such as poison or sleep.

Summoning: As a Nobody, Roxas has control over Dusks, and Samurai Nobodies which he can summon to attack or otherwise at will.

Inventory:

(1) pink ribbon barrette. Self-explanatory that it's...a pink ribbon barrette.
(1) Special potion that does a thing.
(1) phone.
(1) purple Nintendo 3DSXL, along with a Pokemon game still in it.
